APS New Release Audemars Piguet 15500 Full Ceramic Model Now Available
Combining ceramic material with the complex functions of the Cal.4302 integrated movement, it becomes a model of craftsmanship and innovation. It continues the classic aesthetics of the Royal Oak while breaking through traditional material limitations, making it a benchmark in modern high-end watchmaking.
1. Advantages of Ceramic Material
High Hardness and Scratch Resistance: Made from precision ceramic (such as zirconia), its hardness far exceeds that of stainless steel, making it resistant to scratches from daily wear and maintaining long-lasting luster.
Lightweight and Comfortable to Wear: Lighter than metal materials, it reduces the burden on the wrist and is suitable for long-term wear.
Hypoallergenic and Corrosion Resistant: Ceramic has stable chemical properties, making it less likely to cause skin sensitivity and resistant to sweat and corrosion.
Unique Texture: The surface is finely polished or matte-finished, presenting a deep gloss or understated texture. Three color options are available: black, white, and a rare blue.
2. Case and Bracelet Design
Integrated Structure: The APS case and bracelet are seamlessly connected, continuing the iconic octagonal bezel and "Tapisserie" dial of the Royal Oak, with ceramic material adding a modern touch.
Complex Craftsmanship: APS uses ceramic sintering, which is extremely difficult to form, requiring precise control of temperature and pressure, resulting in a low yield and highlighting technical expertise.
Detail Treatment: The bracelet links are chamfered and polished, with soft edges for a comfortable fit on the wrist; the case thickness is approximately 10.5 mm, balancing complex craftsmanship with wearability.
